If you find yourself in Rockland, ME, Cafe Grazie is not just a place to grab a bite; it’s a delightful experience that captures the very essence of communal dining. Nestled at 148 S Main St, this cafe has rapidly become a cherished gem for locals and visitors alike. With a philosophy rooted in cheery hospitality and a genuine love for food, Cafe Grazie invites you to indulge in their sophisticated yet approachable menu.
As you step inside, you’ll be embraced by a warm, elegant environment that seamlessly blends comfort with a touch of European flair. The attention to detail in the decor reflects the cafe’s commitment to creating a space where every guest feels right at home—whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or lingering over a leisurely lunch.
Cafe Grazie has mastered the art of breakfast, with dishes that are as visually appealing as they are delicious. One regular, Jesse Kivel, raves, “The food is tasty, sophisticated and lovingly made.” Here, breakfast becomes an artisanal affair with offerings like the soft, savory breakfast sandwich on freshly baked focaccia, and glorious olive oil cake that’s just waiting to melt in your mouth. Those with a penchant for perfection will relish the thick-cut bacon that Maggie Gould describes as “chewy, salty, meaty in the right proportions,” and the breakfast burrito that’s become a favorite for many.
But don’t just take our word for it. Jack Montgomery hails it as “Perfection!” praising the beautifully crafted pastries that tempt you the moment you walk in. Whether it’s a crisp pastry for breakfast or an indulgent treat like Chamomile toffee ice cream for lunch, each item is made with local ingredients and a touch of creativity.
As the day unfolds, Grazie’s menu transitions beautifully. Not only do they serve pastries and rich espresso in the morning, but you can also enjoy crisp, vibrant salads and savory pies come lunchtime. It’s a seamless blend of flavors that Katie Bowes describes as a cafe “we have been wanting for forever.” With an atmosphere buzzing with energy and laughter, you’ll feel the community spirit in every corner.
The outdoor seating area is an absolute treat during good weather, as Alison Carroll notes; it’s an ideal spot for enjoying a refreshing afternoon spritz or an affogato—the perfect finale to any meal. And for those looking to take a piece of Cafe Grazie home, Anna Ginn found joy in exploring their market section filled with fun pasta and sauces.
If you’re searching for an inviting space that prioritizes quality, care, and a menu that speaks to the soul, Cafe Grazie is a must-visit. Come for the food, stay for the good vibes, and leave feeling nourished in every sense of the word. Don’t just take a casual stop; make it a point to linger and embrace the warmth of Rockland's best breakfast and lunch spot!

my favorite breakfast spot in the midcoast. I am in nearly every day, to the point that everyone may be sick of me but i don't give a damn. The food is tasty, sophisticated and lovingly made. It is what the area has been in serious need of and I hope Grazie is here until the sun burns out and all of humanity is extinguished. But on a lighter note, my go to order is an olive oil cake, cortado and then if I am feeling hungry ill do their lunch pasta and caesar salad. You can't lose here.

Perfection! Great menu, beautifully crafted pastries, comfortable seating inside and out, and friendly staff. The location is excellent, just outside the congestion of downtown with ample off street parking. I’ll be back.

Grazie Cafe is perfection. As a resident Mainer - we have been wanting a cafe like this forever and Grazie answered our prayers! Beautiful morning baked goods and egg sandwiches transition smoothly to mid day salads and savory pies, beautiful espresso makes way for thoughtfully selected wines as the day wears on. The vibe is G O O D - energetic and happy in the space and we cannot get enough of the perfect little market. We only wished we lived closer to visit more frequently! do not miss this spot :)

Truly a gem of a spot, what a cafe is suppose to be in the most European sense of the word. The frittata was perfect, the greens were vibrant and the pastry next-level. Food so good you are meant to linger over and enjoy slowly. Go, try something new, be kind to your server :)

I loved everything about it. Number one the food (I went for breakfast and lunch). I took home some fun pastas and sauces from the market. Atmosphere is great - lively, with a sense that many locals hang out here. Nice seating indoors and out. Great addition to the Rockland food scene. PS easy parking too

What a gem! Life is so much better with Cafe Grazie open on the midcoast. They make the most sublime breakfast sandwich on a soft Foccacia, the best coffee around for sure (but also love an afternoon spritz or affogato!). This team puts so much heart into the cafe and everything they make. It’s warm, welcoming and an easy but lovely hang. I’ve loved to work on the outdoor patio in nice weather, or sit solo on the counter, or meet some friends at a communal table. Everyone that comes in the door just seems happy to be there. As a longtime fan of their booth at the farmers market, I am SO happy they finally have a physical space. Thank you! Grazie!

What a treat! Our first time at Cafe Grazie for lunch and we will definitely be going back! Beautiful salads (with fava beans!) a torta rustica, special baked sweets, chamomile toffee ice cream and good strong coffee- everything prepared so well and with local ingredients. Imported Italian products fill the shelves, there is indoor and outdoor seating and yes, parking! Can’t wait to go for breakfast…
